What Customers Say About Deadwood - The Complete Third Season:

Hearst, the heavy of the season, is live and in living color and adds even more conflict between our characters. What I dislike is the cliffhanger and non-closure due the series ending. I bought all three seasons of Deadwood in order after viewing the season I just bought. The dialogue is as profane and loquacious as ever and Al Swearengen continues to be one of the best characters in TV history. But if you liked the previous seasons, do not hesitate to purchase the third. I think the third is the most interesting, but that is not to shortchange the previous two. It's just that by the third there are so many connections between characters and backstory between everyone that everything is now so rich and complex.
Why rip off consumers from other countries. Shame on HBO.Bottom line:As I enjoy audio commentaries I will buy the Region 1 versions of "Deadwood" and "Oz" as I refuse to be cheated out of my money.P.S. WARNING:Consumers from outside of North America considering whether they will buy the Region 1 versions or the Region 2 & 4 versions of HBO's "Deadwood" and "Oz" may be interested to know that the Region 2 & 4 versions of these series do not contain audio commentaries. If audio commentaries are an important feature for any fans of the series then I recommend purchasing the Region 1 versions. It's not like audio commentaries take up a lot of disc space. I'm not sure if the new Region 2 & 4 21 Disc "Oz The Emerald City Collection" suffers the same fate as the earlier releases. I do not know if any other HBO TV series have suffered the same fate as these ones outside of Region 1. My only question is why.
Be warned, it includes a lot of violence, sexual situations and crude language. It takes you back to a time and place when life was really rough and tough. I really enjoyed this series. Don't know how closely this relates to actual history, but none the less, I found it very good and interesting.
What a ride. Deadwood still ranks as one of the most outstanding TV series to date.
I had no problems with the others two series. Also the tab that held the 5th DVD was broken and the DVD was just flopping in the jacket. Too bad. Disappointed with the delivery. The package inside flap had a sheet removed from the flap and the only way I would have known was the clue was still there.
